Love is in the air!

Even high-powered CEO’s celebrate Valentine’s Day, and we’ve served up some great ideas for your sweetheart this month! Don’t miss The Good Life and all its glory.

Our cover story subject, Monica Eaton-Cardone, was a joy to interview. Her journey with her current company, as well as many other companies that she’s since sold, and her life, will surely make you smile. Her laugh is infectious, her home and it’s view breathtaking, and her passion  unrivaled. If you’re lucky enough to get an invite to the CEO Connect this month, you’ll have the chance to meet her live, and in person.

Speaking of experiencing something in person…don’t miss the write up by Managing Editor Jo-Lynn Brown on Seaweed. She visited the sushi, seafood and steak restaurant and tried everything from snapper wings (who knew there was such a thing?) to steak. Be prepared to be hungry after reading about it. I can’t wait to experience it myself.

Before the fences go up and the engines roar, we present a preview of the Firestone Grand Prix coming to St. Petersburg in March. Peruse the many options for treating your clients to some rockstar entertainment or spiffing your employees and making connections during the festivities. As client entertainment goes, it’s among the best. And let’s face it, it’s a chance to help showcase the beauty that is the downtown St. Petersburg waterfront, and remember why we are so lucky to live and work in this amazing region.

And because of our unmitigated access to pristine waterways, are you, like me, dreaming of a new yacht for the new year? We looked at some of the most gorgeous ones on display during the St. Petersburg Power and Sailboat Show. If you’re in the market for a new boat this summer (or all year, as we revel in Tampa Bay) then this is a great spread in which to start your search and see the latest and greatest available or coming soon.

Ahead of the much lauded opening of The Embarc Collective’s home in downtown Tampa next month, we spoke with CEO Lakshmi Shenoy about her journey from Chicago to Tampa, how she met Jeff Vinik, and why Embarc is such a unique organization.

We also talked to a few of the start-up’s utilizing Embarc Collective’s services already and dove into how it has helped them launch and grow their companies.

This issue we launch the first of a quarterly real estate section. You will find it in the second month of each quarter of TBBW. This month, we checked in on commercial and residential real estate trends, as well as interior design trends.

When you think of your home bathroom, do you think spa-like sanctuary? I mean…we all have one, right? Why not make it an oasis you can’t wait to get home to? Trends are indicating that people are looking for bathrooms that provide a tranquil escape from the hustle of their daily lives, some even recommend a “no phone zone” experience. Read about ways to update your bathroom into a luxurious retreat, for yourself, and sometimes for the entire family.

And finally, do not pass up the 20 Questions feature with Tampa International Airport’s Joe Lopano. The irony of his biggest fear will make you giggle!

In 2019 we will launch our much anticipated Editorial Advisory Board, staffed only with CEO’s and decision-makers, using their input to make certain we are delivering great content to you month after month. We know how valuable your time is and want to make certain that reading TBBW is a valuable use of it. If you’re interested in being part of that exclusive board, please reach out to me directly at bbello@tbbwmag.com

Take care of your sweetheart and enjoy this fresh new year to its fullest.

Until next month…
