Billy West officially named president for M.E. Wilson

Billy West has officially stepped into the role of president of M.E. Wilson Company, after the passing of Guy King III in June of 2021.

West previously was chief revenue officer, and partner, for the Tampa insurance brokerage.

“It is a bittersweet feeling because I envisioned having Guy here to hand off the baton,” says West. “I’m simply carrying the torch, along with our CEO Doug King, as we carry on the family legacy that has been built over the last 102 years.”

West continues, “We are excited for the future of M.E. Wilson, after three years of tripling in size throughout the state of Florida. We now are up to eight locations and over 120 employees. Our expansion will continue but our culture of doing the right thing will always remain the same.”
