Medical Technology Associates acquires Pennsylvania air filtration company

Medical Technology Associates, a controlled environment testing and certification company based in Pinellas Park, has acquired Air Filtration Management, based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

AFM is MTA’s second acquisition in the Northeast market and expands MTA’s capabilities in the testing and certification of manufacturing facilities, according to a statement.

MTA acquired Energy Plus, in Harrisburg, in January 2023.

“Together, we will broaden our service offerings, expand our footprint and leverage technology to drive customer success,” said Val Marks, chief executive officer of MTA. “It’s a real win/win for customers and employees.”

Founded in 1988, by Mike Wieder, AFM is an independent National Environmental Balancing Bureau Certified firm providing critical controlled environment, cleanroom and laboratory fume hood operational performance evaluation and validation services.

MTA also acquired Premier Medical, in Tennessee, in June.
