Regional law enforcement and first responders partner to host summit about fentanyl awareness

Live Tampa Bay’s Law Enforcement and First Responders Committee will host a one-day training and community luncheon on January 10 at T-Pepin Hospitality Centre, in Tampa.

“The Annual Law Enforcement and First Responders Summit —Fentanyl: A National Crisis, Where We Are Today” will highlight the work of emergency response providers in the region and share best practices with agencies throughout the state.

The one-day summit will host 250 first responders, from all over the state of Florida, and have speakers such as Florida’s Drug Czar, Doug Simon.

Live Tampa Bay’s Law Enforcement and First Responders Committee is comprised of frontline workers in the region who will no longer tolerate the state of opioid overdoses in Tampa Bay. Data shows there are 34 9-1-1 calls a day that lead to successful overdose reversals, according to a statement.
