The James Museum of Western & Wildlife Art will mark its seventh anniversary with Jamboree at The James, its annual fundraising gala, on April 5, at 6 p.m. This year’s event, themed “Space Cowboy,” blends the spirit of the American West with celestial inspiration, offering an evening of art, culture and community support.
The Jamboree is the museum’s primary fundraising event for 2025, providing support for exhibitions, educational initiatives and programming. Guests will have the opportunity to explore the museum’s seven permanent galleries during cocktail hour, including its latest special exhibition, Survey the West: A Cross-Continental Reflection by internationally recognized Tampa-based artist Ya La’ford. The exhibition examines the evolving boundaries of the American West while exploring the interconnectedness of people and landscapes.
In addition to gallery access, the event will feature live art demonstrations, with artists creating works inspired by the museum’s collection.
Guests are encouraged to incorporate the theme into their attire, with Western-inspired fashion and space-themed accessories.
