The Bank of Tampa has appointed Charlton Laird as senior vice president and chief digital officer, where he will lead the bank’s digital strategy and transformation initiatives.
Laird brings more than 20 years of experience in digital banking and financial services. He most recently served as president of digital banking at Equity Bank in Wichita, Kansas, where he led efforts to modernize online banking, loan origination and digital payments. He previously held leadership roles at Fiserv in Austin, Texas.
Laird holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and public relations from the University of Texas at Austin and is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Pennsylvania.
The Bank of Tampa, founded in 1984, has more than $3 billion in assets and offices across Hillsborough, Pinellas, Sarasota and Manatee counties, according to a statement.
