A landmark Clearwater Beach restaurant is entering its next chapter.

Beachside Hospitality Group has acquired Palm Pavilion Clearwater Beach, a beachfront restaurant established in 1926.

The transaction is expected to close next week.

Palm Pavilion, located at 10 Bay Esplanade directly on Clearwater Beach, will continue operating under its existing name.

The restaurant is expected to close briefly during the transition period and reopen later the same week.

The deal marks Beachside Hospitality Group’s 16th location in Florida and its fifth restaurant in Clearwater.

A Clearwater Beach landmark changes hands

“Palm Pavilion is one of those places that immediately feels right,” said Greg Powers, CEO of Beachside Hospitality Group. “It’s energetic, it’s deeply connected to the community and it aligns naturally with the waterfront experiences we specialize in and wish to continue being a part of.”

Known for its lively atmosphere and seafood-focused menu, Palm Pavilion has long been a fixture of Clearwater’s beachfront dining scene.

Beachside Hospitality said it plans to build on that reputation while enhancing the guest experience.

Beachside plans to retain staff

The company said it intends to retain Palm Pavilion’s employees.

“Our team members are the foundation of every great restaurant,” said Eddie Wright, chief operating officer of Beachside Hospitality Group. “Our priority is to retain the Palm Pavilion staff and ensure a smooth transition that respects the people who know this restaurant best. We believe in investing in our teams and creating environments where people want to stay and grow.”

Beachside’s footprint in Pinellas County grows

The acquisition gives the St. Petersburg-based group five restaurants in Clearwater and adds to its Pinellas County portfolio which includes Salty Crab Bar & Grill, Crabby’s Dockside, Salty’s Island Bar & Grille and Crabby’s Bar & Grill.

“This is an exciting next step for us,” Powers added. “Palm Pavilion has always been a place where people come together to enjoy the beach, the views and great times with friends. We are looking forward to building on that legacy and energy and preserving it as a place people are excited to visit for years to come.”
