Sparkman Wharf redevelopment takes shape in Channelside

Sparkman Wharf is reshaping Channelside with new offices, dining and public space.

Strategic Property Partners is redeveloping the former Channelside Bay Plaza into Sparkman Wharf, a mixed-use project designed to blend office space, dining and outdoor gathering areas along Tampa’s waterfront.

When complete, Sparkman Wharf will include:

  • 180,000 square feet of loft-style waterfront office space
  • 65,000 square feet of ground-level retail and shared common areas
  • A public outdoor space designed for events and recreation

The project is located near Water Street Tampa and is positioned as a destination for both office tenants and visitors to the Channelside district.

Food, events and public space at Sparkman Wharf

Plans for Sparkman Wharf include a curated mix of food and beverage concepts and live entertainment programming.

Confirmed food tenants include:

  • Foundation Coffee
  • Whatever Pops
  • Gallito, a modern taqueria

The site is also expected to host live events, including the Gasparilla Music Festival.

Developers have said the dining garden, biergarten and recreational lawn are scheduled to open in October.
