Sparkman Wharf redevelopment continues in downtown Tampa

Strategic Property Partners continues redevelopment of Sparkman Wharf along Tampa’s downtown waterfront.

Strategic Property Partners has released updated renderings for Sparkman Wharf, its waterfront destination in downtown Tampa’s Channelside district.

The park and dining garden opened in late 2018. It includes 10 food vendors plus Fermented Reality Biergarten and Splitsville.

What’s changing at Sparkman Wharf

Work underway includes upgrades designed to improve the look, access and street-level experience along Channelside Drive.

Planned enhancements include replacing the existing security fence along the wharf and improving pedestrian facilities along Channelside Drive.

Retail and office plans

Plans call for about 10 new retail stores on the ground floor.

The second floor is planned for about 150,000 square feet of creative office space.

SPP headquarters move

Strategic Property Partners is expected to relocate its headquarters to Sparkman Wharf.

Plans include about 30,000 square feet of office space for staff plus an interactive marketing center.

Leasing and construction team

Franklin Street is handling office leasing.

Colliers is handling retail leasing.

Walbridge Construction is leading the building renovation.
