The Good Life: Hublot watches and St. Pete Eats

St. Pete Eats

Now you can make local dishes you love, in your own kitchen. St. Pete Eats: A Cookbook is stocked with creations from St. Petersburg staples like Red Mesa Restaurant, to celebrity chefs like Ray Lampe, aka “Dr. BBQ.” After all, health is much more than a fair-weather state of mind—it’s a mission. At least that’s the case for St. Petersburg Deputy Mayor and city administrator Kanika Tomalin.

A health advocate for the city, and her family, Tomalin has made strides to make community health a priority for thousands of St. Pete residents. In 2015, she launched her signature initiative, Healthy St. Pete, which focuses on creating access to healthy food options, implementing free fitness zones in city parks and adding resources for individuals and families to make healthy living easier. This cookbook echoes Healthy St. Pete’s initiative for a sustainable lifestyle for the current residents of the St. Pete and generations to come.

Proceeds from cookbooks purchased from the website will go toward St. Petersburg’s Fighting Chance Fund, which provides grants to locally owned and independently-operated small businesses and their employees who have been affected by COVID-19. The book costs $20. stpeteeats.org.

Hublot Millennial Pink Watch

Hublot has released a new Big Bang watch, christened Millennial Pink, designed in collaboration with Garage Italia and Lapo Elkann. Its 42-millimeter case is made from lightweight aluminum, monochrome material and is satin-finished and through-tinted pink. This highly specific color is obtained by anodization, a process which both protects and decorates a part, and which has the advantage of giving the case, and its components, the desired pastel shade combined with resistance to scratches and impacts. Its proportions ensure it sits perfectly on any wrist.

The Unico chronograph manufacture movement, boasting a 72-hour power reserve, has a chronograph mechanism on the dial side and a column wheel. The Big Bang Millennial Pink will only be available in a very exclusive limited edition of 200 pieces. The watch costs $20,900. hublot.com.
