Royal Pets Market & Resort treats Tampa pet parents, and their ‘fur kids,’ like royalty (PHOTOS)

With the motto, “A royal pet is a healthy pet,” Royal Pets Market & Resort says it was intentional in choosing Midtown Tampa to be the location of its urban flagship store.

As Tampa gains popularity, and momentum, to rival urban epicenters with the promise of opportunity, the city keeps getting better in offering a “luxe life” to every resident, pets included.

Every pet parent knows the importance of nose-to-tail pet care to pamper and keep a beloved pet healthy.

Royal Pets Market & Resort has four locations in Tampa and Pinellas. With a June grand opening of an urban flagship store, in Midtown Tampa, the company is on a mission to be the local pet parent’s pet experts. Denise Wolin, chief executive officer, and president, of Royal Pets Market & Resort, envisioned a business that would exceed the services, care and compassion that today’s pet stores have to offer pet parents.

The Royal Market has an old-world look, and feel, with an array of toys, treats, food and accessories to delight any special cat and dog. The Pets Resort rivals the luxury hotels of Las Vegas, with five-star service for fur kids, including a doggie day camp, a pet salon and spa and 40 hotel rooms. The Veterinary Center offers full veterinary and surgical care for pets, seven days a week.

As the visionary behind this innovative pet business, Wolin has led the team throughout the design, and implementation, of all Royal Pets Market & Resort, in addition to the Veterinary Center locations. Before Royal Pets Market & Resort Plus Veterinary Center, she held prominent positions at Petsmart for 15 years, including tenure as the vice president of store operations and services for 1,200 United States, and Canada, stores. Before her career with Petsmart, Wolin operated an independent chain for 10 years. She is a pet parent to Charlotte, Iris and Lily, her three Shar Peis.

Wolin said, “My entire life my dogs have always been one of the most important parts of my life. They are truly my kids. Throughout each stage of life, they were always by my side and the love and connection we shared was nothing short of magical. I have spent my entire career in the pet industry.”

She continued, “While I loved my time in the industry, something was missing. A place where I would feel comfortable leaving my fur kids. A place that had everything my pet needed, as well as what I needed to learn to be a better pet parent. A castle for families like mine, where our pets are a large part of our lives and cared for just like our kids. Hence, Royal Pets Market & Resort was conceived, as a company.”

The company is focused on offering a holistic, pampering pet experience to replace the conveyor care belt of “big box” pet stores.

The bottom line is that Royal Pets Market & Resort offers every pet that comes through the door the “royal treatment, with value pricing.”

Given the convenient locations of the company’s state-of-the-art centers, including Midtown Tampa, every Tampa pet parent committed to spoiling their pets with a “luxe life” should pay a visit.

“We have everything, under one roof, for our dogs and cats,” Wolin says. “We have amazing indoor, and outdoor, parks and our team members are all trained and certified by experts in dog behavior. Pet health and safety are always first to us.”

Pet guests of Royal Pets Market & Resort can enjoy a play in the park and then spend the night in the five-star pet hotel. The pet hotels are beautiful and the company’s safety standards are second to none.

Wolin jokes that she is often asked by guests touring our hotel if they can stay as well.

If pet parents are missing their babies while working, or on vacation, they can log into the company’s proprietary camera from their phones and have a virtual visit with their furkid. All Pet Resort suites are equipped with a camera, for viewing the pets, as well as televisions for the comfort of the pet guests.

Furthermore, pet parents can treat their pets to many special accommodations, and services, which can truly make their cat and dog feel like a VIP.

One of the most popular is the Bedtime Cuddle package. This fan favorite includes team members visiting the pet guest at bedtime for some cuddles, belly rubs and a customized video of the pet during bedtime cuddles, sent to help mom and dad relax. If bedtime cuddles weren’t special enough, canine pet guests can get excited for Chewers Delight – a yummy antler to chew on, and stay occupied with, all-natural, fresh peanut butter replenished in the antler each day.

For Tampa pets to stay beautiful, and camera-ready, Royal Pets Market & Resort offers pampering in their state-of-the-art salon and spa. Now, every dog and cat can come home smelling great, and clean, with customized pet products such as the Furminator Treatment, to reduce shedding, or a mud bath, to hydrate and help with skin irritation.

Moving forward, the company plans to expand to Sarasota and Naples.
