Shumaker Partner Brett Henson has been appointed to the legislative subcommittee co-chair of the Florida Bar real property, probate and trust law sections construction law committee and to the steering committee for Division 1: litigation and dispute resolution of the American Bar Association’s forum on construction law.

Lighthouse Vision Loss Education Center has been awarded a $30,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County to provide mental health counseling services to its clients.

CenterPlace Health, in Sarasota, named Kari Ellingstad chief executive officer.   

Clive Daniel Home, a luxury home furnishings store, opened at 3055 Fruitville Commons Blvd., Sarasota, in the Fruitville Commons development.   

SVN Commercial Advisory Group added Jordan Murga to its office, retail and industrial investment sales team for the Sarasota office.  

Tricera Capital, a Miami-based commercial real estate firm, completed several leases totaling almost 40,000 square feet at downtown Sarasota’s Offices at Atria, including Kimley-Horn, a planning and design consultant, which is leasing 30,000 square feet of the building.
