Patrick Downes has been named the new president of St. Joseph’s Hospital-South, in Riverview.

Most recently, Downes was the chief executive officer at East Cooper Medical Center, in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. He is a native of Palm Harbor.

“We welcome Patrick back to his home state,” said Kimberly Guy, BayCare co-chief operating officer, in a statement. “His experience with the Florida healthcare landscape is a tremendous advantage.
