Franklin Street names Garet Marr as Tampa regional managing director

Jo-Lynn Brown October 5, 2023

Franklin Street has named Garet Marr as regional managing director of the firm’s headquarters, in Tampa.

Marr will join Patrick Kelly, regional managing director, in overseeing and growing the firm’s business lines in the Tampa market including insurance, investment sales, capital advisory, leasing, project management and property management.

“Over the years, Garet’s dedication and expertise have been instrumental in our firm’s growth and success. His passion for our platform and his ability to bring together great people from various lines of business exemplifies the unique and collaborative environment we’ve fostered. His wealth of experience and strategic acumen will guide us in nurturing our growth initiatives and further strengthen our presence across various CRE sectors,” said Andrew Wright, chief executive officer and managing partner of Franklin Street.

Since joining Franklin Street, in January 2017, as an associate, Marr’s production volume, leadership and expertise led him to be promoted to managing director. During his tenure, Marr expanded the firm’s presence in Chicago, Illinois, before transitioning back to the Tampa market, in fall 2023.

Franklin Street’s Insurance Division serves commercial real estate owners, operators, managers and developers of national portfolios. The division oversees a portfolio of over 500,000 multifamily units and 20 million square feet of commercial space, throughout the Southeast.
