Angel Gonzalez has been promoted to West Florida division president at SouthState Bank.
Gonzalez previously was the Hillsborough market president for SouthState Bank. He has been with CenterState, now SouthState, since 2007, when he began his career as a management trainee. He’s served as the Hillsborough market president since April 2017.
“West Florida boasts one of the fastest growing and most diverse economies in the nation and we couldn’t be more excited and confident to have Angel’s leadership in this critical part of our geography,” says John Corbett, chief executive officer for SouthState Bank.
Gonzalez also serves on the boards of the Florida Business Development Corp., Tampa Metro YMCA, The Straz Center for the Performing Arts and the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council, where he is past chair.
