⊲ St. Petersburg-based community bank BayFirst opened its 12th Tampa Bay area banking center, and 5th south of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, at 2075 S. Tamiami Trail, in Sarasota.

⊲ The coffee bar Grove Surf + Coffee, in St. Pete Beach, plans to expand to Indian Rocks Beach with a new concept, which will offer a full food and drink menu, at 1309 Gulf Boulevard. 

⊲ Clearwater-based marketing software firm DirectMail2.0 acquired a 40-year-old mailing institution Who’s Mailing What!, a direct mail performance and insights tracking platform with a database of more than 300,000 scanned and cataloged mail pieces. 

⊲ The Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas, a nonprofit agency that supports early care and education, and the Florida Division of Early Learning distributed nearly $7 million in grants to 320 area childcare providers to improve their playgrounds and outdoor play spaces.

⊲ Blake Investment Partners, which was selected in early 2023 to redevelop a portion of the Jim & Heather Gills YMCA, at 3200 1st Avenue South, has formed a joint venture with Greystar and has proposed a redevelopment, dubbed Whitney Village, that would add 375 apartments, a parking garage and 32,000 square feet of retail space to the property

⊲ Kolter Urban secured a $182 million construction loan for Art House, a 42-story luxury condominium tower, in downtown St. Petersburg.

⊲ A penthouse in the Saltaire condominium tower, at 301 1st St. S., St. Petersburg, sold for $8.25 million. 

⊲ Leasing began for Arya, a 415-unit apartment development, at 5475 3rd Lane North, St. Peterburg. 

⊲ Junction Townhomes, a 10-unit townhome development, is planned for 3601 First Avenue N., St. Petersburg. 

⊲ Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital has opened a new lobby off 7th St. South, in St. Petersburg, that offers complimentary valet service and has a Kahwa Coffee kiosk.
