One Liners Polk: Florida Southern College, Munn Park and more

Lakeland’s City Commission chose a design concept for the revitalization of Munn Park.

The Polk County Utilities Division took first place at the 2024 Florida Water Environment Association’s Operations Challenge, also known as the Wastewater Olympics. 

The Florida Southern College School of Architecture is scheduled to open to undergraduates, in the fall of 2025, with a master’s program, expected to begin in 2028.

Sabrina’s Delicacies opened, at 4610 Cleveland Heights Blvd., Lakeland. 

Dr. Faeza Rashid Kazmier and her husband, Dr. Peter Kazmier, made contributions of $50,000, each, to Florida Polytechnic University, resulting in the naming of two classrooms in their honor. 

Pour Bear Coffee opened at 4608 Cleveland Heights Blvd., Lakeland. 

Lakeland’s City Commission voted unanimously to grant ACE a three-year lease for a 290-square-foot retail space, inside the terminal’s secure passenger lounge.
