One Liners Sarasota and Manatee: Resilient Retreat, CBIZ and more

The finance lab at the University of South Florida’s Sarasota-Manatee campus is getting an upgrade this summer as the school prepares to open a second lab in Tampa.

Hodges Soileau came to Palm Avenue Fine Art, in Sarasota, for a two-day exhibition that featured selections of the original oil paintings behind his Baby-Sitters Club covers. 

Making An Impact received a $28,250 donation from the Greater Sarasota chapter of 100 Women Who Care, during its spring 2024 meeting.

Blue Sky Communities and Community Assisted & Supported Living of Sarasota is building a 96-unit affordable apartment project, north of downtown Sarasota. 

Pat Neal, the chairman of Neal Communities, donated the 2024 Hearthstone BUILDER Humanitarian Award, plus $200,000, to the Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast.

CBIZ Insurance, in Sarasota, won the Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance’s 2024 Make More Happen contest, and donated $10,000 to the Payton Wright Foundation, which pays for utilities and rent to support families caring for children with cancer.

Philanthropist Larry Greenspon’s second leadership gift to the Jewish Federation of Sarasota-Manatee brings his total investment to $7.7 million dollars, making the largest gift in the federation’s history.
