St. Petersburg College and United Faculty of Florida ratify collective bargaining agreement

St. Petersburg College and the United Faculty of Florida have ratified a new collective bargaining agreement.

The agreement, approved by 95% of the voting faculty in September and ratified by the college’s Board of Trustees, aims to strengthen faculty conditions while enhancing student outcomes.

The deal includes notable provisions such as competitive salary adjustments, increased funding for professional development and initiatives to boost faculty and student engagement.

In addition to the salary improvements, the agreement ensures that SPC will continue to cover most health insurance costs for faculty, as they transition to the State Group Insurance Program, starting Jan. 1, 2025.

The agreement takes effect immediately.
