AIC Architecture has named Andrew Matson as its new president, as part of a leadership transition marking the firm’s 35th anniversary. Matson succeeds Mike Puckett, who will remain a senior partner until 2027.
Matson, who joined AIC Architecture in 2004, after earning a master’s degree in architecture from the University of Florida, has been a partner since 2013. He has served as an architect of record, focusing on production and quality control while fostering client relationships.
AIC Architecture has a portfolio that includes corporate offices, retail spaces, warehouses, laboratories and medical facilities. The firm has also been recognized for its contributions to commercial real estate including multiple honors in NAIOP Tampa Bay’s “Best of the Best” awards.
In addition to his work at AIC, Matson serves as vice president of programs for NAIOP Tampa Bay, where he coordinates events aimed at advancing the local commercial real estate industry.
AIC Architecture was founded in 1990 and is based in Tampa’s historic Ybor City district. The firm manages projects throughout Florida and the southeastern United States.
