TRYP air charter sees growth in charter sales

Jo-Lynn Brown Published: December 16, 2024 | Updated: December 13, 2024

RYP Air Charter, a Central Florida-based private air charter service provider, is reporting growth in charter sales. The company reported a 40% increase in charter sales in the second quarter of the year, with continued growth well into the third quarter.

This growth reflects a broader trend in the aviation industry, with more people opting for private charters for business and personal travel, the company said.

One key factor contributing to TRYP’s success is the expansion of its fleet. In response to growing demand, the company added a fourth Pilatus PC-12 aircraft to its fleet. Notably, one of these planes underwent a comprehensive renovation, featuring a new interior design set to take flight in 2025.

The Role of the Pilatus PC-12 in TRYP’s Fleet

Central to TRYP Air Charter’s operations is its fleet of Pilatus PC-12 aircraft. The PC-12 is a high-performance, single-engine turboprop plane known for its versatility, range and cost-effectiveness. Its ability to land on shorter runways and operate in various conditions makes it ideal for private charters, especially for travelers looking to access smaller regional airports.

Each PC-12 seats up to nine passengers and offers a pressurized cabin that provides a quieter, smoother ride than many competitors in the turboprop category.

Private Air Travel: A Growing Trend

The private air charter industry has seen rising demand, especially in the post-pandemic world. With commercial air travel facing disruptions, delays and restrictions, TRYP Air Charter said private air travel has become an appealing alternative for individuals and businesses alike.

Private air travel offers a level of flexibility that commercial airlines can’t match. Passengers can select their departure times, choose their destination airport and customize onboard services.

According to Kyle Garren, vice president of charter sales and logistics for TRYP Air Charter, once clients experience the advantages of flying privately, they often become repeat customers.

“We’ve seen a steady increase in clients choosing private charters for both business and personal travel. Once they see the time savings and experience the level of service we provide, they come back,” Garren said.

Looking Forward: Future Growth and Innovation

While TRYP Air Charter is based in Central Florida, its services are available from multiple locations, including Lakeland Linder International Airport (KLAL), St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (KPIE) and Plant City Airport (KPCM).

With a growing fleet, increasing demand and a commitment to customer satisfaction, TRYP Air Charter said it is poised for even more growth in the coming years. The company’s decision to invest in the renovation of its aircraft signals a forward-thinking approach to maintaining a competitive edge in the private charter market.

In an industry that thrives on flexibility and personalization, offering new routes, additional aircraft options or enhanced in-flight services could help TRYP stay ahead of the competition.
