Hurricane Recovery Rental Housing Fair to aid displaced residents

Residents displaced by Hurricanes Helene and Milton will have a chance to connect with housing providers at the Hurricane Recovery Rental Housing Fair, hosted by the City of St. Petersburg and the Bay Area Apartment Association.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 22, from 3 to 7 p.m., at The Coliseum, 535 4th Ave. N. It aims to provide short- and long-term rental housing options, for those affected by the storms.

More than 40 housing communities will be represented, helping with rental applications and answering questions about apartment availability in St. Petersburg, Pinellas County and nearby areas. Attendees can also speak with staff about rental assistance programs and strategies to overcome financial challenges following natural disasters.

Households displaced by the hurricanes, including those outside St. Petersburg, are encouraged to attend. Many housing providers are offering discounts, flexible terms and other accommodations for those impacted.
