Combat Waffle Studios, a veteran-owned gaming company backed by Meta, has leased a 23,349-square-foot industrial space, at 195 Triple Diamond Blvd., in Nokomis.
The studio, best known for its hit VR shooter Ghosts of Tabor, has seen over $20 million in sales, since its release. The company previously operated out of a 7,000-square-foot office, at 105 Triple Diamond Blvd., and is upgrading to a larger space to accommodate development meetings, VR testing, motion capture and security-focused development.
The new facility was previously the headquarters of Tervis, which vacated the property in January as part of a consolidation. The building’s infrastructure, including fiber-optic internet, aligns with the studio’s needs for real-time collaboration and cloud-based development.
The lease deal was brokered by Nick DeVito II and Brie Tulp, of Ian Black Real Estate, who represented the landlord, 201 Triple Diamond Holdings.
Combat Waffle Studios expects to employ about 100 people at the new location.
