Two-time Super Bowl champion and former Tampa Bay Buccaneer Logan Ryan will host a fundraising event on Monday, March 31, at Armature Works in Tampa, to support animal rescues and shelters across the country.
Ryan, now an analyst for CBS Sports, and his wife, Ashley, are organizing the annual “Chow Down” through their nonprofit, the Ryan Animal Rescue Foundation. The event will feature a culinary competition, tastings, auctions and appearances by local celebrities.
Guests will enjoy appetizers and specialty drinks from Tampa Bay-area chefs, a top-shelf open bar, silent and live auctions, games and a meet-and-greet with athletes and chefs. Buccaneers players Rachaad White and Jamel Dean will serve as celebrity judges in the event’s appetizer competition.
Chefs competing include Kristina Lavallee, owner of The Cake Girl bakery and a celebrity chef, and Rosana Rivera, owner of Chef & The Baker, who won Food Network’s “Beat Bobby Flay” and is a James Beard advisor. The winner will receive the “Dog-Bardi Trophy,” a custom take on the NFL’s Lombardi Trophy.
