Simpson Gumpertz & Heger, a national engineering firm, has opened a new office in Tampa, expanding its presence in the Southeastern United States. The office, located on N. Rocky Point Drive, will focus on building enclosure consulting and corrosion and materials engineering.
Francesco Spagna, a nearly 30-year SGH veteran, will lead the building enclosure practice. Brian Pailes, who joined SGH in 2024 and brings more than a decade of experience working in Tampa, will lead the structural mechanics and corrosion group.
SGH Chief Technical Officer Niklas Vigener said the move marks a strategic step in building client relationships in the region.
The Tampa office is now operational and recruiting additional technical professionals to support its growth.
