Visit St. Pete-Clearwater has partnered with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to become the official beach partner of the NFL team.
The collaboration marks the first time the two major Tampa Bay brands have teamed up, creating a joint campaign to promote St. Pete-Clearwater’s award-winning beaches to football fans, both locally and nationwide.
“Joining the Bucs Krewe provides us with a great opportunity to remind Bucs fans that they have America’s Favorite Beaches right in their backyard,” said Steve Grimes, chief marketing officer of Visit St. Pete-Clearwater.
As part of the partnership, Visit St. Pete-Clearwater will launch a marketing campaign targeting fans traveling to Raymond James Stadium, encouraging them to “Stay & Play” with weekend beach getaways.
Visit St. Pete-Clearwater has expanded its sports marketing efforts in recent years, with partnerships including the Tampa Bay Lightning, MLS teams Philadelphia Union and FC Cincinnati, and a sponsorship of the U.K.’s Betfred Rugby League.
