BankUnited has appointed Hope Perez as executive vice president and retail executive for the mid-Florida market.
Based in Tampa, Perez will oversee the bank’s 23 branches across northern Palm Beach County and Florida’s central and west coast regions. She will be responsible for deposit and loan growth, as well as strategic and annual plan implementation.
Perez has more than 20 years of banking experience. She previously served as director of business banking at BayFirst Financial, in Tampa, and held leadership roles at Synovus Bank and Bank of America.
She has also been active in community and nonprofit work, including serving on the board of the Lake Nona Chamber of Commerce, Swinging with Purpose and Commission 127.
Perez will be based at BankUnited’s Tampa office on Henderson Boulevard.
