Better Together, a nonprofit dedicated to keeping families together and out of foster care, has promoted Kayla Palacios to chief operating officer.
Palacios has been with the organization for three years, first as executive director of the North Central Florida region and later as vice president of operations.
“Kayla brings a proven record of strengthening operations, building teams and driving impact,” said Megan Rose, chief executive officer of Better Together. “She is deeply committed to our mission and has my full trust and confidence in this role.”
Before joining Better Together, Palacios spent 12 years in Marion County Public Schools, serving as assistant principal and in other leadership positions.
Better Together’s programs focus on preventing foster care by matching parents in crisis with volunteer host families and mentors while also offering job fairs and employment support. To date, the nonprofit has served more than 15,000 children, with 98% remaining out of foster care and connected more than 45,600 job seekers to employment across 24 states.
