Tom Lee, who represented the Tampa Bay area in the Florida Senate for 18 years and served as Senate president from 2004 to 2006, has been inducted into the Florida Housing Hall of Fame.
The honor, presented by the Florida Home Builders Association, recognizes individuals whose leadership and advocacy have had a lasting impact on housing across the state.
“Tom Lee has left an indelible mark on Florida’s housing landscape,” said Rusty Payton, chief executive officer and chief lobbyist of FHBA. “His legacy of leadership, through public service, housing policy and tireless advocacy for families and communities, has advanced opportunities for homeownership across the state.”
Lee now serves as chief executive officer of the Pepin Family Office, overseeing strategic initiatives and philanthropic efforts that support Tampa Bay communities.
The induction took place during the Southeast Building Conference, in Orlando, FHBA’s annual industry event. Lee was honored alongside inductees Greg Matovina, of Jacksonville, and Ray Puzzitiello, of West Palm Beach.
The Florida Housing Hall of Fame, established by FHBA, celebrates innovators and advocates whose work expands access to safe, quality and affordable housing.
