Bern’s Steak House Company will open a new seafood-focused restaurant at the current Haven location at 2208 W. Morrison Ave. in fall 2027, the company announced Thursday.
Haven will remain open through the summer.
The new restaurant does not yet have a name. Leadership plans to release additional details in phases as planning continues.
Executive Chef Chad Johnson developed the concept over several years. The restaurant will center on seafood and reflect his focus on discipline, technique and respect for product.

As a company, we dig deep to learn, source and execute the best techniques and offerings the industry has to offer our guests. That commitment will carry forward into a new concept building on the foundation, lessons and culinary stewardship that have shaped this chapter.”
The Morrison Avenue address sits a few blocks from Bern’s flagship restaurant and anchors the group’s presence in the neighborhood.
Company leaders said they will support Haven team members through the transition and provide updates as plans advance.
The shift gives one of Tampa’s most established restaurant groups a defined timeline to introduce a new seafood concept to South Tampa.
What we don’t know yet
Bern’s Steak House Company has not shared the name of the new restaurant, its menu direction beyond a seafood focus or whether the space will undergo a full redesign.
The company has also not announced an opening date, pricing, hours or the date of Haven’s final service.
