CEO Council of Tampa Bay names new executive director

The CEO Council of Tampa Bay’s board of directors has appointed Alyssa Rhoads as the organization’s executive director.

Rhoads most recently ran and operated Eventing Tampa Bay, working alongside some of the largest companies and nonprofits in the Tampa Bay area, including Tampa Bay Business and Wealth Magazine.

Rhoads succeeds Cyndi Sexton who has served as the executive director since 2014. Rhoads previously founded a networking organization called the Professional Philanthropy Network and an annual charity event that raises money for local human trafficking victims. She also serves as the general chair for the Valspar Tournament’s Copper Mugs.

“The board of directors is excited to have Alyssa join our team of superstars. We have an exciting future ahead, as an organization, as we focus on our CEO members. Alyssa will help us execute our 10-year strategic plan, wherein we have three pillars: growth and inclusion, world-class programming and the member experience,” said Hugh Campbell, chairman of the board and president at AC4S Technologies, in a statement.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to lead the CEO Council of Tampa Bay and look forward to being a part of the effort to bring the CEO Council to the next level,” Rhoads said.

The CEO Council of Tampa Bay is an organization for chief executive officers that provides opportunities for its CEO Members to meet, collaborate and grow with like-minded executives.
