Art Ties Us adds judges, seeking sponsors

Time is running out to submit art for the second annual Art Ties Us contest.

Submissions from local artists need to be submitted by July 3 and will be followed by a online voting period from July 15 to July 26.

Winners will be announced at a Gala on September 13 at The Birchwood. Guests will enjoy an open bar and food tastings from Birch and Vine, 1200 Chophouse, Dr. BBQ The Restaurant and Cafe Cibo.

Judges for this year’s contest include Duncan McClellan, Derek Donnelly, who has more than 150 murals displayed around St. Petersburg, David Warner and Lance Rogers.

Art submitted for the contest will be auctioned off and all proceeds will benefit the Bill Edwards Foundation for the Arts.

The Birchwood will be turning the thee top-winning works into neckties, which will be worn by staff members for a year following the gala and the original works will be displayed in the restaurant.

There’s a need for sponsors too! If you’re a lover and supporter of the arts and would like more information, reach out to Bayshore Marketing Group or email Jenn Holloway-Bingham at [email protected]. Or visit www.arttiesus.com.
