Manatee Memorial Hospital opened a new freestanding emergency room—the ER at Sun City Center, located at 16504 S. U.S. Highway 301 in Wimauma. Christian Kitchens Coffee, an ethically sourced and freshly roasted coffee subscription company, has pledged a portion of its proceeds to Resurrection House, a Sarasota County resource center for the homeless community.

Gail Bowden, senior investment adviser for SVN Commercial Advisory Group, managed the $12.1 million sale of a motorcoach storage facility, at 5921 McIntosh Road, in Sarasota, to Las Vegas-based Crystal View Capital.

Midflorida Credit Union opened a new Sarasota branch located at 544 S. Washington Blvd.

All Faiths Food Bank, in Sarasota, named Daniela Malo in the newly established role of associate director of development.

The historic Mira Mar building at 49 S. Palm Ave., has been sold to Sarasota developer Seaward Development, which plans to demolish the existing building and build 70 condominiums as well as retail space.

Plans for two outpatient oncology facilities for the Sarasota Memorial Health Care System were approved by the Sarasota County Public Hospital Board and will move forward, one being a cancer outpatient pavilion at the Sarasota main campus and the second building will be a cancer center at the Venice campus.
