Pulte Homes launched Marwood by Pulte Homes, its first boutique community, in Ellenton, offering 70 home sites for sale. 

Gail Bowden, a senior investment advisor at SVN Commercial Advisory Group, managed the sale of a longstanding family restaurant, at 14132 Tamiami Trail, in North Port, The Family Table Restaurant, and will convert into Anna Maria Oyster Bar. 

JFCS of the Suncoast appointed Helene Lotman as chief executive officer and president. 

Florida’s first Homesense store opened in University Town Center, in Sarasota, occupying a 30,000-square-foot retail space.  

Macaire King and Meghan E. O’Connell have joined the law firm of Icard, Merrill, Cullis, Timm, Furen and Ginsburg as associates in the Sarasota office.

Jennifer Bushinger-Ortiz

Sarasota-based Neuro Challenge Foundation for Parkinson’s named Jennifer Bushinger-Ortiz its new development director. 

Mark C. Clare joined the law firm of Blalock Walters, in the business corporate and health care practice groups. 

The University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee campus has named Kristi Hoskinson as assistant vice president for strategy and campus initiatives and Danielle McCourt as director of university communications and marketing, on the Sarasota-Manatee campus. 

The Bradenton Area Economic Development Corp. will move its office from Lakewood Ranch to the 26 West Center, at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota, in Bradenton, in January.
