ZooTampa and Lowry Park plans to undergo a $125 million expansion to gradually add more immersive experiences over the next 20 years, including a new manatee rescue center it plans to open in January 2026 and Stingray Shores, set to open in the fall. 

Labor and employment law firm Johnson Jackson announced that founding shareholder Erin Jackson was awarded the 2022 George C. Carr Memorial Award by the Tampa Bay chapter of the Federal Bar Association. 

The Children’s Home Network, in Tampa, named Taylor Cheeseman as executive vice president.

Franklin Street arranged the sale of French Quarter Apartments, a 57-unit, 50,585-square-foot multifamily community, in Tampa, for $10.75 million, to Phoenix-based Orbit Investments. 

The Tampa Bay Builders Association installed Lauren Morgan as executive vice president. 

Tampa-based hotel management firm McKibbon Hospitality has added three new properties, owned by Miami-based firm OPB Capital Group, including the Regency Miami Airport Hotel by Sonesta, Aloft Miami Doral hotel and the Element Miami Doral hotel. 

TGH Innoventures, Tampa General Hospital’s innovation center and venture fund, has participated in a $27 million round for Medical Informatics Corp.

The University of South Florida appointed Braulio Colón as executive director of the Florida College Access Network.

Embarc Collective, a co-working and startup incubator in Tampa, has received a $20,000 grant from the Florida Blue Foundation to go toward Embarc’s efforts to prevent burnout and promote mental well-being for their members.

The Tampa Museum of Art announced a major contribution from PNC Bank consisting of $500,000 toward the Museum’s Centennial Campaign.
