Dupré Logistics acquires St. Petersburg-based logistics company

Dupré Logistics, a Louisiana-based transportation company, has acquired Interstate Transport, a logistics company based in St. Petersburg.

Dupré Logistics is a privately held transportation company that provides logistics solutions through its three business divisions, Onsite and Private Fleet Services, Strategic Capacity Brokerage Services and Energy Distribution Services.

Interstate Transport, which has been in business for 20 years, specializes in temperature-controlled, time-sensitive, dry and flatbed brokerage services to food service and horticulture companies, big box retailers and emergency management.

The Interstate Transport name will be retained but will be known as a “Dupré Logistics Company,” according to a statement.

Gloria Hudson, president and chief executive officer of Interstate Transport, and Zach Aufmann, vice president, will continue to serve in senior leadership roles, the statement said.
