University Area Community Development Corp. has named LaTiecea Hailey-Brown, former principal of Mort Elementary Community School, as chief operating officer.
“LaTiecea truly has a proven track record of success and a passion for our community. We are thrilled to know she will make a positive impact in the University Area overall, as COO at University Area CDC,” said Sarah Combs, executive director and chief executive officer of the University Area CDC.
The University Area CDC provides support for Tampa residents through youth programs, adult education and resource assistance including redevelopment, and sustainability, of the at-risk areas surrounding University of South Florida’s Tampa campus.
Hailey-Brown will start in her new role on October 16.
