St. Pete-Clearwater International breaks passenger record in 2023

St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE) broke individual monthly records in January, June, July, September, October and November, in 2023.

July 2023 was PIE’s biggest month in its history, with 279,622 passengers.

“We have an incredible team at PIE, including our airport employees and volunteers, airlines, concession businesses, Transportation Security Administration and FAA staff,” said Tom Jewsbury, airport director. “Our airlines generated tremendous growth in destinations and passengers and everyone on Team PIE works together to create a ‘go easy’ customer experience and a safe, and efficient, airport.”

Allegiant has been the driving force behind PIE’s growth, offering the most non-stop destinations (59), in the Tampa Bay area.
