Tampa hotel lands on Esquire’s Best New Hotels 2024 list

Esquire has unveiled the Best New Hotels of 2024, the newest destinations across North America, Central America, Mexico and Europe, naming one Tampa hotel on the list, Tampa Edition.

“Much like the brand’s spot in Reykjavík (a 2023 Esquire Best New Hotel), this Edition has had a way of weaving itself into the fabric of a city that may not be used to this level of chic luxury. The rooms are an exercise in lush minimalism, while the rest of the spaces are dense with textures and color. There are seven bars and restaurants on the property. The gems are the Punch Room, a punch-only bar that celebrates the spirits of the Caribbean, and chef John Fraser’s Lilac, where Champagne-cocktail carts and tableside Portuguese-style bouillabaisse will make you wonder if Tampans know how good they really have it with this hotel,” said a release from Esquire.

For this third edition, Esquire’s team of editors and writers traveled thousands of miles to identify 41 best new properties, including the Hotel of the Year, The Lafayette, in San Diego, California.

The Best New Hotels list is on Esquire.com now and in the April/May 2024 issue, currently available at retail outlets.
