PulteGroup closed on a 200 acre-site, in Pasco County, that will be the first phase of a 430-acre development, which calls for 696 homes under the company’s Del Webb brand, aimed at people 55 and older, on property off of Shady Hills Road, north of State Road 52.

Pasco County attracted roughly 1.5 million visitors during fiscal year 2023, with a tourism impact on the local economy of more than $1 billion, according to a report prepared by Downs & St. Germain Research.

The Pasco County Board of County Commissioners approved an ordinance rezoning 76.72 acres of property south of State Road 52, approximately 900 feet west of Land O’ Lakes Boulevard, for a planned development.

UF/IFAS Cooperative Extension Pasco County announced a new food bank providing essential food items for community members at the One Stop Shop, 15029 14th St., in Dade City.

By 2050, Pasco is projected to have 1,018,000 residents and the county’s workforce is expected to more than double — increasing to 424,000.
