CITY Furniture raises over $690,000 for the American Heart Association

J.C. Barrott November 27, 2025

CITY Furniture, a family-owned American furniture and mattress retailer and fine upholstery manufacturer, announced that it has raised $691,987 for the American Heart Association, this year.

This achievement surpasses CITY Furniture’s initial pledge to raise $650,000, through their 5% Giving Pledge.

Andrew Koenig, CEO of CITY Furniture, and his wife Deana have been leading the heart-healthy initiatives for CITY.

Koenig said that CITY Furniture’s commitment to fighting heart disease is “embedded in their DNA.”

CITY Furniture’s support of the American Heart Association included inviting associates and customers to join them in raising crucial funds and awareness for heart health. As part of this campaign, CITY encouraged customers to “Test Rest” any mattress in its showroom. CITY Furniture would award those who took a “test rest” with a gift card and would also donate to the American Heart Association.

Additionally, CITY partnered with Florida Panthers and AHA to host a “Heart Dash” event, at Amerant Bank Arena, promoting CPR training and heart health.

All these initiatives are part of CITY Furniture’s 5% Giving Pledge, which devotes a minimum of five percent of net profits annually, to giving back to communities. To learn more about CITY’s mission visit https://www.cityfurniture.com/company/city-cares.
