► Kolter Multifamily, an affiliate of Delray Beach’s The Kolter Group, broke ground on Alton Lakewood, a 350 unit multifamily development, located at 14750 FL-64 in Bradenton. 

► Grimes Galvano, a 102-year-old multi-practice law firm, is expanding into West Palm Beach, which will be the firm’s third office location in Florida, adding to its original Bradenton office and a Sarasota location that was opened in 2021.

► Manatee County Animal Welfare participated in BISSELL Pet Foundation adoption event, which sponsors reduced adoption fees of $50 or less per cat or dog during each nationwide event. 

► Sarasota’s Tidewell Foundation Board of Trustees has elected Gary Butler and Barbara Glanz to three-year terms, joining regional business and not-for-profit leaders.

► One Stop Housing, a developer committed to providing quality, affordable workforce housing in Florida and Tennessee, is pleased to announce the groundbreaking of The Nest apartments at Robin’s Apartments in Bradenton

► Compass Florida added real estate expert, Laura Benson, as the new sales manager at Compass in Sarasota.

► Bank of America has selected Academy at Bradenton, part of the Academy at Glengary, as it’s Neighborhood Champion in Manatee County, giving a $50,000 grant for its work supporting economic mobility among adults who live with a serious mental illness and face significant barriers to employment. 

► BayFirst, a St. Petersburg-based community bank, opened at 2075 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota.
