► St. Joseph’s Hospital became the first health care facility to use checkout-free technology in a hospital cafeteria at its newly opened Season’s Café, inside the hospital. (Pictured above)

► The Brothers that Just Do Gutters opened a new franchise in Tampa, owned and operated by Nicholas Anderson. 

► SimonMed Imaging, an outpatient medical imaging provider and radiology practice, opened its first simonONE center in Tampa.

► Tampa International Airport and Delta Air Lines will resume nonstop, seasonal service to Amsterdam starting October 26 through March 29, 2025. 

► David Deno, chief executive officer of Tampa-based Bloomin’ Brands, has announced retirement. 

► Shumaker’s Community Association added Jessica S. Zelitt to its team as an associate in the Litigation and Disputes Service Line, in Tampa, where she will work alongside Shumaker partners and community association lawyers Jonathan Ellis, Kathleen Reres and Clinton Morrell.

► Melone Hatley PC opened a Tampa office, led by Attorney Peter Bradshaw. 

► Houston-based Hines has sold the Tampa Commerce Center, for $94.5 million. 

► Tampa General Hospital launched the first phase of a new, innovative program in partnership with The Florida Aquarium to provide pediatric patients with the opportunity to participate in immersive virtual tours of the aquarium from their hospital beds, with the help of a custom-built robot. 

► The Tampa Downtown Partnership has named Kenyetta Bridges as its new president and CEO. 

Harvest Hope Park

► David Blackwell was named the dean of the University of South Florida’s Muma College of Business.

► Harvest Hope Park, the seven-acre park owned privately by the University Area Community Development Corporation and shared with the community, is now complete with a Splash Zone. 

► Suncoast Credit Union, in Tampa, launched treasury management services, offering a suite of commercial products and services including an automated clearing house, remote deposit capture and fraud prevention tools.
