It’s official: Historic merger creates one of the largest Boys & Girls Clubs in the U.S.

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Suncoast and Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay have officially joined forces, forming one of the largest nonprofit after-school providers in Florida and marking one of the biggest Boys & Girls Clubs mergers in the country.

This strategic partnership aims to serve more youth across the Tampa Bay region, expanding outreach and enhancing programs that empower young people.

“Together, we’re building a foundation that will support young people across our community,” says Elizabeth Constantine, board chairwoman of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Suncoast.

Operating 42 locations and reaching 3,000 kids daily, the merged organization’s $23 million annual budget will fund expanded programming, from workforce development to emotional wellness throughout Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas counties.

“By coming together, we are not only expanding our capacity to serve more youth but also enhancing the quality and diversity of our programs,” says Freddy Williams, president and chief executive officer of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Suncoast and Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay. “This partnership will allow us to leverage our collective strengths and reflects our shared commitment to empowering the next generation and making a lasting impact on the lives of children and families across the Tampa Bay region.”
