Haven hosts December fundraiser to benefit Florida Giant Dog Rescue

Haven will hold a month-long fundraising event, in December, to support the Florida Giant Dog Rescue, a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing and rehoming large dog breeds in need.

From Dec. 3 through Dec. 31, the restaurant will donate 20% of proceeds from two new menu items—the holiday-themed Santa Paws cocktail and Brasstown Beef Hotdog—to FGDR. The hotdog, available during Haven’s daily happy hour from 5 to 7 p.m., will feature a different preparation each day.

In addition to menu sales, guests can make cash donations at the host stand or add a contribution to their bill. Donors will receive a handmade dog treat as a thank you.

On Dec. 21, Haven will host a “Yappy Hour,” from 5 to 7 p.m., offering a Pup Cup bar and a 360-degree photo booth for guests and their dogs. The first six dog adoptions from FGDR, in December, will receive a Tito’s care package for their new pets, along with a special gift from Haven.

Florida Giant Dog Rescue has rescued more than 400 dogs since its founding, in 2019. The organization focuses on the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of large dog breeds.
