Hurricane Alliance Town Hall: 6 Ways Not to Lose Your Home After the Storms (UPDATED)

Tampa Bay residents still navigating the aftermath of Hurricanes Helene and Milton are invited to attend a Hurricane Alliance Town Hall, a free event designed to provide insights and critical resources for homeowners, and renters, navigating the recovery and rebuilding process.

The event will occur on Dec. 18, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at the Pinellas Realtor Organization Building, at 4590 Ulmerton Road, Clearwater.

Community leaders and industry experts will offer financial assistance options and strategies to help residents rebuild and safeguard their homes. Attendees will have the opportunity to apply, onsite, for grants from the Realtor Relief Foundation, specifically for homeowners and renters impacted by the storms. There is up to $300,000 grant funds available.

In addition, there will be advice related to avoiding pitfalls and delays when working with insurance and mortgage companies, FEMA’s 50% rule and options for appealing Substantial Damage Letters within the 60-day window.
