Tampa International Airport and Delta Air Lines officials announced the return of nonstop daily service to Amsterdam, and that the airline would extend the seasonal service by two months, through May 2025.

Capstone Building Corp., a general contractor based in Birmingham, Alabama, opened its new regional office, at 142 West Platt Street, Tampa, and named Chase Pattillo as vice president of strategic growth, to oversee the new office. 

Proforma, a Tampa-based technology company, announced that Suzette and Fred Albrecht, members of its network, were honored with the Advertising Specialty Institute’s Lifetime Achievement Award.


Muma Children’s Hospital at Tampa General Hospital and the Jennifer Leigh Muma Neonatal Intensive Care Unit received a $1 million gift from the DeBartolo Family Foundation, to establish the DeBartolo Family Nutrition Center for Infants and Children.

Hillsborough County officials held a ribbon-cutting for a new shade structure at Northlakes Sports Complex, in Tampa, enhancing the County’s first pickleball courts with protection from the sun and inclement weather.


For the sixth year in a row, the University of South Florida sits among the top 50 public universities in America, according to U.S. News & World Report’s annual ranking of the best colleges, ranking No. 45 among public universities and standing at No. 91 among all universities public or private, in 2024. 

RNR Tire Express, in Tampa, announced four promotions including Adam Sutton as CEO, Matthew Warren as chief operating officer, Kyle Parman as president of corporate store operations and Matt King as vice president of corporate store operations.

Tampa General Hospital completed its integration of Epic, a single, integrated electronic health record system at its TGH North facilities. 

Mainsail Lodging & Development, a Tampa-based hospitality company, received multiple awards at Marriott International’s 2024 MINA & Full-Service Owners Conference.

Tampa’s Shumaker Advisors, led by Ron Christaldi, chief executive officer and president, has been named one of the Top 25 lobbying firms in Florida, by Florida Politics, for the second quarter of 2024.

Tampa General Hospital and Boston’s Mass General Brigham expanded their affiliation with new programs including a bone marrow transplant and CAR-T therapy at TGH, while also enhancing services for Florida’s veterans through Home Base Florida, marking three years of collaboration in medical innovation and patient care.
