TD Charitable Foundation offers $7.2 million in grants to support homeownership sustainability

The TD Charitable Foundation, the philanthropic arm of TD Bank, has announced $7.2 million in grants to assist nonprofit organizations addressing challenges in sustaining homeownership for low- and moderate-income families.

The grants, distributed through the foundation’s 19th annual Housing for Everyone program, will provide 36 awards of $200,000 each.

The 2025 program targets nonprofits offering post-purchase resources and services such as foreclosure counseling, property tax relief, energy efficiency improvements and financial assistance.

Since its launch in 2005, the Housing for Everyone program has awarded more than $56 million to over 585 affordable housing initiatives across TD’s service areas, which include communities from Maine to Florida and the Detroit metro area. TD Bank has a significant presence in the Tampa Bay area.

Nonprofit organizations eligible for the grants must demonstrate how their programs positively impact individuals and families facing barriers to homeownership sustainability. Applications are open until 4 p.m. on Feb. 6, 2025, eastern time, with winners to be announced in May.
