HMC Hospitality Group promotes COO from within company

HMC Hospitality Group, based in Clearwater, has promoted longtime executive Steve Clement to chief operating officer, overseeing all Hooters and Hoots locations in the Tampa Bay and Chicago regions.

Clement began his career with Hooters, in 1992, as a manager in training in Florida before moving to Chicago, where he helped open the Downers Grove location as an assistant manager. In 1994, he was promoted to general manager of the Orland Park store. He later served as vice president of operations for Hooters locations in Staten Island and Manhattan before returning to Chicago, where he was promoted to area supervisor. Since 2022, he has been vice president of operations for the Chicago region.

Clement has served on HMC Hospitality Group’s Leadership Council and various company committees, including those focused on food and beverage and regional development.

HMC Hospitality Group operates Hooters and Hoots locations in multiple regions.
