Brandon Lowe selects Crisis Center of Tampa Bay for charity partnership in Giving Bowl

Jo-Lynn Brown March 18, 2025

Tampa Bay Rays player Brandon Lowe has chosen the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay as his charity partner in the Baker & Emily Mayfield Foundation’s Giving Bowl, a fundraising initiative that highlights local athletes and their selected nonprofits.

Lowe is one of five Tampa Bay athletes participating in the bracket-style competition, which raises awareness and funds for community organizations. As the charities advance through each round, they receive additional donations from the foundation. The final winner will receive a $50,000 contribution.

“Brandon Lowe has been a dedicated advocate for our mission, and we are grateful for this opportunity to raise awareness about our services,” said Clara Reynolds, president and chief executive officer of the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay. “This competition introduces our work to a broader audience and allows us to connect with more people in need.”

The Giving Bowl runs through March 28. Donations to support the Crisis Center’s efforts in the competition can be made here.
